I moved my home to Cape Cod during the summer of 2005.
I'm in the process of fitting up a wood shop to enable my wood turning
and my interest in segmented turning. My shop is located in a large,
one car garage (16'x36') in my basement. I have my woodworking machines
in this location and have separate, additional spaces for finishing
and wood storage.
One of the first things that I wanted to do in the
shop was to make sure that I could collect dust as it was generated.
Here was my solution as it was in process!

This is a 3 HP cyclone dust collector from Onieda
Air called the Super Dust Gorilla.

Here is one drop that supports the bandsaw and to
the left, the radial arm saw.

Here is a great shot of one end of the shop. You
can see my garage door leading outside. On the left is a cabinet
with a double sink. In the center is my table saw and to it's right
is the 6" jointer. Behind the table saw and against the door is a
lay-up table. I use this space to glue together my segmented turning
blanks.

Here is a picture of my chop saw and the 12" sanding
disk. The sanding disk gets lots of work with segmented turning.

Of course, we can't miss the Oneway lathe. It's a
2436 with a 3 HP motor and an 18" extension on the end. Currently
the air hose just sits handy, but I'll be making a dust hood for
it, real soon!

And for the lazy in me, here is my floor sweep. Get
any dust or shaving with in about a foot of this unit and it just
gets sucked away!
The curious little unit to the right of the floor
sweep is a Longworth Chuck mounted into table. It is used to center
segmented rings onto bases. It works like a charm, thank you Lloyd
of Woodturner Pro.

This room sized air filter is for the little dust
that isn't caught by the dust collection system. It gets sucked into
this unit. I've put this unit onto a timer (like for a bathroom fan)
which allows me to leave it on after I leave the shop.

This tool holder is mounted to the wall behind my
lathe. It holds my cutting tools (gouges, scrapers, parting tools,
and others) and my chucks, drive spurs, live centers, sandpaper and
measuring tools. It's really neat to have everything handy!!
